For leaders who long for a greater sense of ease without sacrificing impact

Leadership at the highest levels demands a supportive balance: the strong back of grounded self-reliance and the soft front of open receptivity. Most leaders have mastered the former. Enduring success requires leaning into the latter: cultivating interdependence and adaptability, and building relationships that empower everyone around them.

Without this balance, leaders risk burnout, tunnel vision, and short-term fixes instead of sustainable solutions.

What we need now is leadership that’s strong yet flexible enough to meet a rapidly shifting world, while staying rooted in connection and shared purpose.

About Gina Restani, CPCC, PCC

I’m a speaker, facilitator, and coach on a mission to rehumanize how we work and lead. I’ve coached leaders across 40+ organizations, from small nonprofits to Fortune 500 companies including Microsoft, Google, and Salesforce.

My organizational insights are shaped by a decade in the tech industry, including a six-year stint at Twitter, where I navigated the highs and lows of a hyper-growth, high-profile environment. I walked away from tech drained and disillusioned by the false promise of the corporate marathon. And I wasn’t alone. Some of my clients are still there, questioning the culture and how to lead differently inside it. More and more, I work with leaders in social impact, climate, and mission-driven organizations.

Leaving my corporate job was the first step toward discovering new ways of working and leading. I realized that to shift corporate culture, we have to prioritize supporting the people within it, helping them find healthier, more sustainable approaches to their work.

This realization led me to co-found Inside Out Incubator, a women’s leadership consultancy aimed at empowering women in male-dominated industries to lead authentically and powerfully on their own terms. Over five years, we worked with more than 5,000 women leaders, helping them craft careers they love and become the kind of leaders they’d look up to.

As faculty at the Co-Active Training Institute (CTI), I train coaches and business leaders in the skills that bring out the best in people. Since 2019, I’ve trained 1,000+ coaches from fifteen countries. I believe the core skills we cultivate—active listening, leading with curiosity, and building strong relationships—are essential for fostering an empowered work culture and bridging divides in today’s world.

That belief is also what's behind my first book, Micropractices to Rehumanize Us, and Rehumanizing, a free newsletter dedicated to human flourishing.

I identify as a white, cis-gendered, heterosexual American woman, and my pronouns are she/her. I’m an auntie, artist, feminist, classically trained vocalist and actor, with a deep love for 60s soul music and 90s hip hop. My journey has taken me to Ohio for music school and to New York City to pursue my first career in the performing arts. I currently live in my hometown of San Francisco with my husband and our rescue pooch, Rigby.

I respectfully acknowledge the Ramaytush Ohlone as the original inhabitants of the land where my family and I live and work. I honor their enduring care for the place we call home. I invite you to discover and honor the Indigenous land you live on by visiting Native Land Digital.
